Catherine works as a conservator at the Borthwick Institute for Archives in York. She was awarded a QEST scholarship in 2009 to fund the final three modules of the Archives and Records Association Certificate in Archive Conservation. Thanks to QEST, Catherine qualified as an archive conservator in 2011 with Distinction

Since becoming qualified, Catherine has undertaken a huge variety of projects, and has spent much of the last year treating brittle and fragmentary architectural tracings. Catherine became a permanent member of the Borthwick in 2014, and is very excited about her next challenge, which will be working with a collection of Archbishops’ Registers dating from 1225 to 1646.
