Spring | 2019

Byrony Applegate’s ambition is to become an established designer/maker in the tableware and catering industry.

After graduating from Staffordshire University, Bryony spent two years working on her ceramics practice in her studio in Stoke-on-Trent, whilst also in full time employment as a school photographer. Bryony is now undertaking a Masters in Glass and Ceramics at the Royal College of Art, where she continues to push herself to try as many techniques and materials as possible in her work. Bryony’s QEST Garfield Weston Foundation Scholarship will fund her second year of studies, during which she will also work on her dissertation topic: researching and writing about Michelin restaurant tableware.
