A QEST Scholarship enabled Heidi to study realism at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. She built on her experience of photo-realism, gained at Bauhaus University, by studying classical realism, working with life models on figurative studies and portraiture under a natural north light. She was awarded the prize for Best Figure Drawing of the Year in 2018.
Heidi gained an MA in Scenic Art at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2020. She has experience painting backdrops for production companies such as Welsh National Opera and Cardiff Theatrical Services.
Heidi currently works from studio space in Elysium Gallery in Cardiff. Alongside her figurative work she is establishing herself in the film and TV industry working as an artist for clients including Disney, Netflix and Warner Brothers.
