Jim is a luthier based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. He makes and repairs guitars using a combination of modern engineering principles and traditional handbuilding techniques.
Jim’s QEST Scholarship allowed him to study the principles of “voicing” a guitar (shaping and carving the wood to determine its sound) alongside one of the world’s finest guitar-makers.
