Summer | 2014

Lisa was born in Oldham , and studied at Manchester School of art , where she graduated with a BA Hons in Fashion in 2013.

Her recent textiles based accessories work is produced through locally sourced hand dyed Ribbon , which Lisa creates into her own unique pieces through hand crafted processes including tassel making. Fundamentally it is Lisa’s experimentation with unusual colour placement combined with powerful sculptural geometrics and, pattern manipulation that has captured the attention of the media and the London catwalk.

The scholarship has enabled Lisa to study a Masters in Womenswear accessories at the Royal college of art. Lisa has undertaken projects with Tiffany & co and Eastpak artist studio 2014 , she has also worked with the British fashion council in association with Warehouse, the London High Street brand and the New York magazine TACK. Her tassel work and collection are also being exhibited as part of Shoreditch Design triangle coinciding with London Design Festival 2014.

Lisa is looking forward to developing her craft further and learning new techniques at the Royal College of Art where she will have the chance to explore her craft and push the boundaries.
