Spring | 2013

Scott has made his living as a glassblower since leaving art college and currently maintains a studio in rural Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. Funding from QEST allowed Scott to attend a workshop on the chemistry of formulating and melting coloured glasses, which has since become an integral part of his practice.

Scott is establishing himself as a UK maker through gallery sales, commissions and a limited amount of production work, but continues to travel abroad—mostly to the US, Japan and China—as an instructor. His most recent project has been to design and oversee the production of 110 centerpieces for the annual fundraising dinner sponsored by the Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, WA (USA).
