Sophie Zajicek specialises in Woven Textile Design and Innovation. Sophie has a studio space in London where she is able to research the properties of woven structures and yarns. Sophie is continuing to collaborate with a fellow QEST scholar, Oluwaseyi Sosanya, on a project started whilst at the Royal College of Art. The QEST scholarship enabled Sophie to study a Masters degree in Textiles at the Royal College of Art. This has allowed Sophie to push her perception of woven fabrics and explore avenues otherwise unknown.
Since the scholarship Sophie has graduated with a Masters in Textiles from the Royal College of Art. She is now based in a studio in London, focusing on textile design and innovation through individual and collaborative projects. Her work has recently been on display in Brussels at the MoOD textile fair, Innovation Platform. S??????is very enthusiastic about the potential of weave design and ????? to continue working with architects, engineers and other design disciplines in pushing the boundaries of textiles.
