2011 QEST Scholar - Stone Carviing

Teresa is a stone carver and sculptor, based in Leeds, who undertakes commissions for architectural and figurative stonework and lettering.

The QEST Scholarship enabled Teresa to concentrate solely on her third and final year of her diploma in Historic Stone Carving at City & Guilds of London Art School. On completion of the course she won the Worshipful Company of Masons’ tool prize and the Brian Till Art History Prize .

Teresa created a grotesque above a doorway to the entrance of St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, after undergoing a rigorous selection process.  She exhibited at the Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace in 2013 and at the ‘Protecting the Sacred Space ‘exhibition at Windsor Castle in 2014.
