A new stage for British Craft & Creativity

We are delighted that Penhaligon’s, British perfume house and long-term QEST supporters, have announced The King’s Road Collection, a new creative initiative transforming part of its King’s Road boutique into a gallery space. In partnership with QEST, the house extends an invitation to QEST Alumni to exhibit original works within the store, placing contemporary British Craftsmanship at the heart of the Penhaligon’s experience.

Part gallery, part boutique, Penhaligon’s King’s Road space has been reimagined as a platform for discovery where scent, craft and artistry meet. The collection will unfold through a series of three curated installations per year, each offering a distinct creative perspective, starting with the first installation, The Things Between Us.

The Things Between Us explores the idea of art within living spaces, considering the relationship between people and the objects that surround them: how they gather meaning over time, and shape the feeling of home through memory, use and presence. The installation brings together works by QEST Alumni Kamilah Ahmed, Tom Vaughan and Anne Athena, forming an intimate, layered, relevant experience within the store.

QEST and Penhaligon’s have been proud partners for over a decade. Rooted in a shared commitment to excellence, this long term collaboration celebrates the makers behind the craft: supporting emerging and established artisans, and bringing their work to a wider stage.

The Things Between Us is on display at 25 King’s Rd, London SW3 4RP from 26 May until August 2026, with the pieces available to purchase.

Participating Artists

Kamilah Ahmed is an embroidery artist and designer based at Cockpit Bloomsbury. Her practice bridges heritage craft and material innovation, creating bespoke embroidered artworks for contemporary interiors.

Tom Vaughan originally trained in cabinet making. His interest is in converging his traditional training with modern digital design and manufacturing techniques, which is the foundation of his practice, Object Studio.

Ceramicist Anne Athena’s work explores surrealism and symbolism, creating narratives that open a window to the unseen worlds of the human being. Her practice is heavily influenced by pattern, ornamentation, the figure, and the vessel.
