Scholarships

QEST offers Scholarships of up to £18,000 for the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople. We want to sustain vital skills in traditional and contemporary crafts and contribute to excellence in the British craft industry.

Emerging Maker Grants

QEST offers Emerging Maker Grants of up to £10,000 for the training and education of talented craftspeople at an early stage in their career. Aimed at committed makers who have been practising professionally for four years or less, the grants enable them to enhance their craft skills and advance their practice.

Apprenticeships

QEST offers funding of up to £12,000 towards an apprentice’s salary, spread over an apprenticeship of up to three years. QEST apprentices have trained in glassblowing, pottery, beekeeping, shoemaking and more.

Building Arts Programme

A collaboration between The King's Foundation and QEST, this 9-month programme is aimed at students or practitioners whose practice or trade informs our built environment. It focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of architecture, building crafts and the decorative and applied arts.
