As a charity, we need to fundraise to be able to continue our vital work, transforming the careers of talented and aspiring makers, funding training and education and strengthening the future of the UK’s craft sector. A thriving craft industry is essential to the UK’s cultural and economic landscape and to the future of work.
Together, we can invest in craft, shape careers, inspire communities, and pass on skills to future generations.
Our Impact:
- 900 Alumni across the UK, working in 130 craft and conservation disciplines
- £7.5 million invested in makers since 1990
- 92% of alumni from the last 10 years are still practising their craft; 72% are now teaching or training others, passing skills to the next generation
- Since 2023, 39,000 children have explored craft careers through QEST programmes, in partnership with the National Saturday Club and Education and Employers
- In 2025, we awarded 40 individual grants, with 20% going to Global Majority makers (in a sector where 4% come from Black & Asian backgrounds).
