Enikő Leányvári, founder of Tiger’s Eye Mosaic, is a classically trained mosaicist based at Cockpit Arts in London. Her work spans intricate micromosaics to large-scale floors and murals, blending ancient and contemporary techniques. She is particularly focused on filato micromosaic — a highly detailed process developed in 18th-century Rome — and is committed to both preserving and evolving this rare artform.
Enikő balances her own artistic practice with bespoke commissions, teaching and leading community projects. Her deep engagement with material and process informs everything she does, from delicate jewellery-scale works to architectural pieces.
With QEST support, Enikő will travel to Italy to undertake a programme of advanced one-to-one training with leading mosaicists, including Arianna Gallo at Koko Mosaico, Maria Teresa Vacchini at Savelli Art and Tradition, Annalisa Marcucci, and Elena Lo Presti. The training covers traditional and contemporary approaches to filato, micromosaic jewellery fabrication and restoration.
Enikő is passionate about sharing her skills and keeping this intricate craft alive — pushing its boundaries while ensuring its relevance for future generations.
