Sarah Edwards

2013 QEST Leathersellers' Company Scholar - Leather Goods Design & Making

After a successful career in Natural History TV, Sarah followed her passion to train in shoe design and making. Courses at the London College of Fashion and apprenticeships with master shoemakers and leather workers led to her being given the opportunity to work at Jimmy Choo Couture. Here she was trained in shoe-making and embellishment, patternmaking, design, and the finer details of craftsmanship. A QEST Scholarship then provided further training from master leatherworkers and shoemakers.

Sarah designs and makes luxury bespoke leather goods under her label, Frances George, and has exhibited her work at Clarence House and the Royal Windsor Show. She now lives in New Zealand where she continues to make luxurious and timeless leather goods for international clients.
