Sarah undertook an undergraduate degree in the History of Art with Material Studies at University College London and went on to train for her career in Conservation at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she graduated in 2012 with the support of a QEST Scholarship.

Sarah then completed a six-month internship at Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL) in Maastricht, Netherlands. She also went on to work at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) in Mumbai, completing the final stages of conservation on The Sword of Damocles by Antoine Dubost. Sarah has worked in the public sector as well as other private studios and is currently Head Conservator-Restorer at Mark Roberts Conservation Ltd, where she has worked since 2014.
