Sarai Vardi

2012 QEST Clothworkers' Company Scholar - Book & Paper Conservation
West Yorkshire

A QEST Clothworkers’ Scholarship supported Sarai during her MA in Conservation at Camberwell College of Arts, from which she graduated with distinction. After a summer volunteering at the College of Arms and working on a short term contract at the Scottish Conservation Studio, she went on to work at the Leather Conservation Centre in Northampton, where she was the Institute of Conservation and Heritage Lottery Fund book and archival material intern.

Sarai then spent two years in botanic conservation at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, working on the conservation of Kew’s bound herbarium collection, before working as a conservator at the John Rylands Library of Manchester University.  She now runs her own company, Sarai Vardi Conservation, specialising in book and paper conservation.
