QEST offers three grants to support makers, craftspeople and conservators at various career stages, strengthening the pipeline of talented craft professionals in the UK. Grants are available for education and training, with Scholarships up to £18,000, Emerging Maker grants of up to £10,000, and up to £12,000 towards an apprentice’s salary.

To date, QEST has awarded £7 million to almost 900 individuals working across the UK in 130 different craft disciplines. From guitar making to printmaking; thatching to engraving, we embrace craft in all its many forms and are proud to contribute towards its evolving tradition. These grants are made possible through the generous support of our donors – Trusts and Foundations, Liveries, Royal Warrant-holding companies, organisations, and individuals. Read about the Autumn 2024 cohort here.

If you’re looking to develop your skills and have identified training that will enable you to advance your craft practice, then one of our grants may be for you.
