Craft Festival Bovey Tracey | 7-9 June 2024
12th June 2024

QEST was delighted to return to Craft Festival Bovey Tracey – one of the UK’s most-loved craft events – for the festival’s 20th edition.
We were joined by QEST Scholar Jess Grimsdale – demonstrating the craft of signwriting and selling her hand-painted vintage tea wares, and Geoff Hannis – showcasing his hand-carved and hand-turned homewares and demonstrating the craft of woodturning on a pole lathe.
In addition, QEST showcased works created by local young people at the MAKE Southwest Craft&Making club, run in partnership with the National Saturday Club & QEST. It was lovely to have club members visit the fair on the Saturday and see their works on display – and we hope we inspired some new 13-to-16-year-olds to sign up for next year’s club beginning October 2024 – details here.
We could also be found in the Children’s Tent, where we hosted daily drop-in craft activities, with help in turn of Jess, Geoff, and this year’s club members!
