COMPASS: Selling Craft from a Maker’s Perspective

November 10th 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Three Scotland-based makers will speak at this online event about how the pandemic has affected their practice and how they have adapted their routes to market. Gain valuable insights from jeweller/designer Stefanie Cheong, designer Alan Dibble of Green Thomas, and QEST Johnnie Walker Scholar & ceramic artist Frances Priest into how to identify alternative selling routes during the pandemic, including selling online, directly through Instagram and #artistsupportpledge.

Taking place during Craft Week Scotland (9-15 November), this is the final webinar in Craft Scotland’s new five-part COMPASS series focusing on the market for craft. Their aim is to equip makers and craft destinations (galleries, shops and venues etc.) with the knowledge and skills to boost selling and teaching opportunities as the vital Christmas selling season approaches.
