Forge a Silver Cuff with Megan Falconer

Learn how to transform a bar of recycled silver into a forged, chunky silver cuff in this two hour workshop. In this class, you will learn how to manipulate silver using a forging hammer to stretch the metal into a chunky/textured band. Once you have forged the bar of silver, demonstrations will be given to show you how to turn it into a cuff to fit you. Techniques involved include – forging, rolling, texturing, filing, sawing and polishing.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some jewellery making experience.

Learn how to recycle and remodel your old, unworn jewellery in this full day workshop. You can choose to bring your own silver or gold for us to melt down and transform into a new piece of jewellery. Please ensure the pieces you are bringing have a hallmark on them to show the metal quality, if in doubt just get in touch and I can advise.
