Forge a Silver Ring with Megan Falconer

Learn how to transform a bar of recycled silver into a forged, chunky silver ring in this three hour workshop. In this class, you will learn how to manipulate silver using a forging hammer to stretch the metal into a chunky/textured band. Once you have forged the bar of silver, demonstrations will be given to show you how to turn it into a ring to fit your finger. Techniques involved include – forging, rolling, soldering, filing, sawing and polishing.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some jewellery making experience.
