London International Festival of Early Music: Maker’s Talk and Recital with Eunju Lee

November 13th 2021 @ 3:30 pm

Introducing the sound and the playability of a bass viola da gamba in festooned shape with traditional English method for the soundboard; stave joints. The viol, made by Eunju Lee, is inspired by English maker John Rose from the sixteenth century. It will be played in an early music recital by Harry Buckoke, including pieces by sixteenth and seventeenth century composers.

During the Festival a number of handcrafted early string instruments will be ready to be demonstrated.
