Parcours Céramique Carougeois
September 17th 2022 - September 25th 2022
The Parcours Céramique Carougeois is a biennial event of contemporary ceramics in Carouge, Switzerland, organised by the Bruckner Foundation. As part of the celebration QEST Carole Bamford Scholar Alice Walton will be having a solo show of over 30 works at Le Salon Vert, including table standing and wall mounted porcelain works with her delicate colour shading.
The gallery says: Salon Vert is delighted to welcome Alice Walton (born 1987), a British ceramics artist whose work has garnered international renown. Alice works with coloured clay in its various plastic states, looking to bring out the material’s meditative process. Her sculptural and abstract shapes explore complex, intense textures that draw the viewer in. In a world that keeps changing from minute to minute, she attempts to slow down, giving her work space to evolve, brick by brick, pin mark by pin mark. Her work is a study of the everyday, taking the time to notice and re-evaluate the unseen objects that surround us.
