Sculpture in Clay: 1 day course from life with Poppy Field

Spend a day creating a torso or figure sculpture. Sculpt in water-based clay, using direct observation of a life model.

You’ll be welcomed into Poppy’s studio to work on your study from the life model. It’s a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with easy conversation and an appropriate distance between students’ and model stands.

Poppy will provide you with one-on-one critique and, as a group, you will cover a range of topics including working from life, setting a pose, relating the armature, and how to establish proportions.

Have fun while Poppy keeps the studio safe. The studio is cleaned prior to each workshop and you’ll also be provided with a pack including your own bags of water-based clay, a face covering, water and snacks. Hardwood modelling tools on loan for those without their own.

Lunch can be provided upon request. It prepared by a local cook, Pippa Huges. Pippa’s menu (which is adaptable to any dietary restrictions / preferences) costs £18.00 for two courses or £25.00 for three courses.
