Help Shape the Future of Craft — Apply to Join QEST’s Youth Board

Here at QEST we’re committed to championing and supporting young makers and know this starts with listening. Your experiences and insights can help ensure our work better reflects the needs of young creatives and craftspeople and really speaks to what they care about today.
Are you aged 16–25 and passionate about craft and creativity? We’re looking for young people like you to join our Youth Board and help shape the future of the craft sector. As a Youth Board member, you’ll have the opportunity to share your views on a range of topics, supporting us in our work to increase diversity and the participation of young people in the craft world.
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Have a strong interest in craft and making
- Are open to contributing ideas and constructively challenging perspectives
- Enjoy working with others – sharing ideas and listening respectfully
- Care about promoting the value of hand-skills
- Are committed to creating positive change
- Want to develop their professional skillset and experience

How to Apply: Deadline Sunday 6 July 2025
The application form is made up of two parts: personal details and a personal statement.
We want to learn more about you in whatever format feels most comfortable and allows you to best express yourself. Therefore, the personal statement can be submitted as a 5-minute video/audio or a 600-word written statement.
