12th February 2024

QEST will be exhibiting at the brand-new Craft Festival Wales in 2024.
We’re proud to be a partner for the Festival which is happening from September 6-8 at the Cardigan Castle.
The announcement was made at a recent press launch at the Castle, attended by members of the QEST team and the Festival’s other event partners (see list at bottom of story).
QEST is also excited to be working with Small World Theatre on a project for young people in the area, to be unveiled at the festival.
Craft Festival Wales will host over 80 makers including The Capital of Craft LIVE and Out of the Woods, as well as demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops, children’s activities, live music, theatre & storytelling with satellite events hosted across the town.
The exhibiting makers will include jewellery makers, potters, furniture makers, textile artists, glassmakers and many more – all selling their finely made unique products directly to the public.
QEST’s exhibiting Welsh and Wales-based Alumni will be announced soon.

Craft Festival Wales is part of a portfolio of events organised by Sarah James and Nina Fox, who also organise the multi-award-winning Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey and Craft Festival Cheltenham. QEST is pleased to be returning to Bovey Tracey again in 2024.
Sarah James said she’s looking forward to launching the new Wales event in her hometown of Cardigan.
“It’s been a long-term ambition to hold an event and, thanks to support from Ceredigion County Council, Arts Council of Wales, and our wonderful partners, we can do so,” she said.
“Craft Festival presents a great opportunity for brilliant makers to showcase, promote and sell their work, and is a fantastic day out for people of all ages.”

Craft Festival Wales is produced in association with Ceredigion County Council, Arts Council of Wales and QEST.
As well as QEST, the event partners include Cardigan Castle, Cered – Menter Iaith Ceredigion, Coleg Sir Gar, Discover Ceredigion, Llantarnam Grange, Make it in Wales, Mwldan, National Wool Museum, Oriel Myrddin Gallery (Carmarthen County Council) and Sea & Slate.
