Tate & Lyle Launch Special Edition Platinum Jubilee Golden Syrup Tin with Donation to QEST

For this year’s Platinum Jubilee, Tate & Lyle has launched a special edition of its famous Lyle’s Golden Syrup tin, with a £25,000 donation to QEST.

“We’ve been making special-edition Lyle’s tins supporting good causes for a while now,” says Gerald Mason, senior vice-president of Tate & Lyle. “It made sense to dedicate our Platinum Jubilee tin to QEST, a charity we’ve always enjoyed being involved with through our membership of the Royal Warrant Holders Association.”

The new tin, inscribed with the words ‘seventy glorious years’, has been in development since November 2021. “It was fun working with the QEST team over many Zoom calls to get the design just right, and we were really proud to show them the tins whizzing off the production line in our East London factory,” says Mason. “Abram Lyle was a great Victorian, and we can’t help feeling he would have been proud to see his most famous product being used to celebrate another great queen’s reign and to support QEST.”
