Jonathan Wright

Jonathan Wright is a master globemaker, specialising in the creation of bespoke globes.

He is a 2020 QEST Garfield Weston Foundation Scholar, starting his globemaking journey as an apprentice in 2012.

Jonathan’s Scholarship saw him study a Graduate Diploma Arts: Conservation of Books & Paper course at City & Guilds of London Art School, where he learnt the skills to expand into globe conservation.

He has since completed an MA in Conservation (specialising in globes) and is now busy running his own studio, J. Wright Globemaker. Jonathan is passionate about teaching young people hand-craft skills through workshops and is keen to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
