Julian studied photography at Guildford School of Art and throughout his career has undertaken all kinds of commissions, in all sorts of places, for all types of clients. His heart has always been in portraiture, striving to achieve a lasting image. In 2012 he was commissioned to take sixteen official portraits of HM The Queen and HRH Prince Philip.  Julian took 100 portraits of QEST alumni for the QEST book, A Celebration of British Craftsmanship.
