Beatrice is a letter cutter in stone and wood. She lives and works in Perthshire, Scotland. She is a Fine Art graduate of Newcastle University, a qualified cathedral stone mason and former student of the European Lettering Institute in Brugge.
Her year as a QEST DBR Emerging Maker allowed her to receive one-on-one training with master craftsman Robbie Schneider, and to become a fully competent and more confident professional letter cutter.
In the future, Beatrice hopes to contribute to bigger and more ambitious projects including architectural lettering and public works. She’d also like to inspire other aspiring letter cutters to take up the craft.
