Pursuing her passion for painting stained glass, Eleanor studied at the University of Sunderland, during which time she was supported by QEST funding. She spent a year exploring and developing her skills and on her return to Bristol she set up her own studio and business, Glass Schemes, which creates painted stained glass artworks for ecclesiastical and non-sacred settings.
Between 2011 and 2013 Eleanor created a set of seven windows for a chapel in Lourdes, France, and since receiving her scholarship, her designs have been shortlisted for two Cathedral commissions. In 2010 her work was exhibited in the British Glass Biennale. Most recently she has designed stained glass for The Church of the Good Shepherd, Kirk Sandall. This 4x4m window combined both her traditional glass painting skills with more contemporary printed enamel on glass.
