Grant is a silversmith and artist based who takes an organic approach to finding extraordinary beauty in metals. A QEST Scholarship enabled him to study at the Royal College of Art from 2009 – 2011 where he engaged with new emerging processes of manufacture and made contacts with other makers from different disciplines.
Grant’s work has been exhibited extensively throughout Europe and the United States and he has been commissioned by clients such as Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, the Incorporation of Goldsmiths and the Scottish Parliament. His work is held in numerous private and public collections including the Bute House Collection, home of Scotland’s first minister, Birmingham Museums and Art Galleries, and Goldsmiths’ Hall Modern Collection.
