Robin Mather

Bicycle designer Robin used his QEST Scholarship funding to attend a two week one-on-one masterclass with Mike Flanigan in Holliston, Massachusetts.  The primary focus of the course was Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding and its application to the construction of steel bicycle frames.  During his time there Mike and Robin also discussed jig and fixture design, workshop layout and business models within the spectrum of made to order, made to measure or fully bespoke services and how this affects the customer relationship.
