1995 QEST Scholar - Brick Sculpture

Rodney Harris MRRS (Member Royal Society Sculptors) is a sculptor, printmaker, educator, and part of the award-winning collaboration with artist Valda Jackson as Jackson&Harris (J&H). His QEST funding supported six months research on brick reliefs with Ibstock Building Products.

Recent sculpture commissions have included: Windows at Cossham Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust, 2023; Tree for Boord Waalk Sculpture Trail, Amble, Northumberland, 2022.  J&H recently commissioned by Peabody for Espalier, St Johns Hill Estate, Clapham, London, 2023, and Curtain, District Community Centre, Great Western Park, Didcot, 2020. He is the co-founder and co-chair of the EarthArt Fellowship and Gallery at the school of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol. The giant print “A Delineation of Strata”, 1.8m x 2.4m, featured in Earth: Digging Deep in British Art 1781-2022, RWA Bristol 2022.
