Basketry Skills Week 2021 with Eddie Glew

This course is designed to sharpen up your basketmaking skills with QEST Scholar Eddie Glew of Blithfield Willowcrafts. The week will revolve around a square cornered basket & either a fishing creel, a fitched basket or a basket of your choosing. You will select two baskets to make during the week, incorporating key techniques to add to your basket making tool box. These include scalloming, corner posts, partitions, bases, fastenings, hinges, lids, handles, made to measure work, hoops, waling variations, fitching and square corner borders.

Maximum 7 participants on the course and previous basketmaking experience is essential.
