Join silversmith Rauni Higson in conversation with QEST CEO Deborah Pocock as they celebrate her first solo exhibition, Illuminating Silver with this online event. They will take you on a virtual tour of key pieces, explore the exhibition’s themes, reflect on Rauni’s journey to becoming a leading silversmith – including the role of her QEST-funded training, and discuss the relevance of silversmithing today and importance of passing on these skills.

Illuminating Silver: Alchemy in the 21st Century gives an insightful glimpse into the process and practice of one of the UK’s leading sculptural silversmiths through objects and key commissions, animated film, and virtual and augmented reality experiences. The exhibition, presented by the Makers Guild in Wales at their Craft in the Bay gallery and supported by the Arts Council of Wales, is presented in four chapters: Illuminating Commissioning, The Power of Practice, The Strength of Community, and Showcasing a body of new artwork.
