Paperwork: an exhibition of works by QEST Alumni
July 20th 2024 @ 10:00 am - November 17th 2024 @ 5:00 pm

QEST is delighted to be partnering with The Hub, Sleaford on its summer/autumn 2024 exhibition celebrating craft skills in paper making, conservation and artistry.
Paperwork, curated by Gregory Parsons, will bring together works from a selected group of 14 craftspeople who use paper as a primary medium or as an intrinsic part of their process, all of whom have developed their practice through specialist craft training and education supported by QEST.
Through the skills of the makers, the exhibition will showcase the versatility of paper as a material, and explore the breadth of its creative and practical potential. The show will consider our continuing relationship with this tactile medium in the age of digital technology, and its enduring usefulness.
With the support of QEST, the practitioners in this exhibition have pushed technical boundaries, working with two and three dimensions, alongside preserving traditional skills, and developing their own aesthetic language.
The exhibition will also include work made by young people from Feathers Teens – a neurodivergent and mental health wellbeing and support group for alternatively educated teens, and their families, in Lincolnshire. The young people are currently working with QEST Scholar Kate Colin to develop their artwork for the exhibition.
