Paper artist Su set up Su Blackwell Studio Ltd. in 2011 to work on a variety of projects, commissions and collaborations. International clients include Grey Goose, Waitrose, FT Weekend, Crabtree & Evelyn and BBH Agency, London. She also shows work in regular exhibitions and has won several awards.
A QEST Scholarship enabled Su to develop a project at the University of Bristol. Her research explored methods of utilising the laser cutting in the production of her book and fabric works and examined how the laser cutter could be used as an alternative to hand cutting and scoring. This research resulted in a solo exhibition.
