QEST was delighted to be at the opening of the Paperwork exhibition on Friday July 20 at the Hub, Sleaford.

Members of the local community and beyond admired the work of a talented group of QEST Scholars for the launch of the exhibition which is a celebration of British craft skills in paper making, conservation and artistry.

The work of 13 QEST Alumni has been beautifully displayed by the Hub team, led by curator Gregory Parsons.  It includes work by Angela Fung, Edward Cheese, Felicity Bristow, Jonathan Wright, Kate Colin, Kate Rochester, Katie Beard, Kendall Clarke, Lucy May Schofield, Mandy Coppes-Martin, Razwan Ul-Haq, Sam Newby, Sim Orme and Su Blackwell.

An installation created by a group of local young people from charity Feathers Teens was also incorporated into the exhibition. Kate Colin worked closely with the group to develop the masterpiece during a series of workshops.

An artist talk at The Hub on Saturday 21 July also drew a crowd, featuring Lucy Schofield, Kendall Clarke and Razwan Ul-Haq who explained the processes behind their pieces and their careers so far.

The exhibition is now on until November 17 in the Main Gallery.
