Raised Whitework Lavender Bag Workshop with Auburn Claire Lucas

This Whitework embroidered lavender bag has been inspired by a series of beautiful Whitework nightdresses from the RSN collection. This is a great design for embroiderers who have some experience with Whitework and wish to develop their skills in this beautiful technique.

It teaches many of the fundamental Whitework techniques, such as Satin and Padded Satin leaves and flowers, Ladderwork edgings and details, with scrolling lines of Trailing, Eyelets and Padded Buttonhole scallop edge. A Whitework/Raised Embroidery pansy and leaves add an extra unusual and delicate touch to this beautiful design.

The kit includes all the materials and threads needed to stitch the design, along with the pre-made lavender sachet and bag. When the design is stitched and cut out, it just needs attaching to the bag.

The complete embroidery design measures approximately 15×10 cm.

The finished lavender bag measures approximately 16x15cm.

Your kit includes everything you need along with the pre-made lavender sachet and bag. When the design is stitched and cut out, it just needs attaching to the bag. The only additional items you will need are an 18” (45cm) Slate or roller frame plus a 6” ring frame to work the raised elements and embroidery scissors. It would be useful to have a pencil and paper in case you wish to take extra notes.
