Willow Frame Baskets with Annemarie O’Sullivan

On this three day frame basket course, you will use willow grown by Annemarie and Tom to make a frame basket. You will work with techniques traditionally used in the countryside by gypsies and agricultural workers. We’ll examine different shapes and structures used in frame baskets. We’ll consider which weaves work best and learn to how pack the weaving to ensure the build up is even. This course is suitable for beginners or intermediate makers. It will be an active few days. Some of the work will be outdoors.
