QEST Scholars and makers from Grandey’s Place – a centre dedicated to the conservation of Britain’s Heritage Crafts in Hertfordshire – joined forces to take a pavilion at Living Crafts fair this year, showcasing and demonstrating their crafts over the Coronation Weekend. Amongst them, letter carver Wayne Hart demonstrated carving and gilding, milliner Sahar Freemantle showcased her wedding, Ascot and Panama hats and stained-glass artist Tom Vowden promoted his lantern-making workshops.

Elsewhere at the fair, leatherworker Mark Angelo-Gizzi launch new leather tote bags alongside his handmade belts, card and phone cases, and saddler Claire Davenport showcased her bridle making skills.

Learn more about Grandey’s Place at one of their open days or on a guided tour – find out more here.
