Spring | 2019

Having developed her tool skills working on Grade 1 listed buildings such as Chichester Cathedral, Arundel Castle and the Royal Brighton Pavilion, Emma Sheridan came second in the UK in the 2018 WorldSkills Stonemasonry Build Competition for Trainees.

Funding from QEST will enable Emma to embark on a BA in Historic Carving: Architectural Stone at the City and Guilds of London Art School, pushing her already impressive skills to the highest professional standards. Dedicated to the preservation and development of building crafts, Emma would like to create modern artworks using traditional techniques, as well as continuing to work on restoration and conservation projects.
