Ben studied the restoration of fine metalwork at West Dean College with the support of a QEST Scholarship before pursuing a career in conservation. He ran his own business. Monumental Conservation, focusing on the conservation and restoration of statues, monuments, public art, war memorials and ornamental ironwork.
