Lauren gained a foundation diploma in Art and Design from Camberwell College of Art, before completing a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College. She has worked for a number of artists and these experiences have developed her practical metalworking skills within the arts and manufacturing industry.
Lauren’s QEST Scholarship will support her in a Graduate Diploma in metal conservation at West Dean College. This will enable her to build on her existing metalwork skills and move into a career in conservation. On the course, practical work is supported by studying the history, conservation and cultural theory and material science of objects.
