Emma trained as a stonemason during which time she developed her skills, producing a wide range of masonry for various Grade 1 listed buildings such as Chichester Cathedral, Arundel Castle, Lancing College Chapel and the Royal Brighton Pavilion. She is now specialising in stone carving by studying for a BA in Historic Carving: Architectural Stone at City & Guilds of London Art School. This training will over the course of the three years will improve her observational and supporting practical skills, and in turn enhance her carving ability. She is also a practising artist and plans to continue producing her own artwork and further utilising carving into her practise, working in stone as part of a continuing tradition.
