Emma is an artist specialising in sculpture and stone carving. She is currently in her third year of study for a BA in Historic Carving: Architectural Stone at City & Guilds of London Art School. Prior to her training in carving Emma completed an apprenticeship in stonemasonry, during which time she developed her skills, producing a wide range of masonry and carving for various listed buildings such as Chichester Cathedral, Arundel Cathedral and the Royal Brighton Pavilion.
Aside from historic architectural stone work she practices as an artist and has exhibited work at Frieze London, Flat Time House London, and in 2022 had her first solo show at Huset for Kunst & Design in Holstebro, Denmark. She has produced a number of works of public art, the latest being a large sculptural bronze piece for the SDCC in Copenhagen.
Emma was recently commissioned to carve a new Mercers’ Maiden stone sculpture for The Mercers’ Company, unveiled at Frederick’s Place in London.
