Libby graduated with a 1st Class degree in Textile Design in 2012. Her collection was exhibited at New Designers in London and Spin Expo in Shanghai. Next Libby interned with the haute-couture textile studio Malhia Kent in Paris. In 2015 QEST enabled her to undertake an apprenticeship with Dash + Miller woven design studio in Bristol, where she is now the head designer. Dash + Miller create bespoke designs for clients including Chanel and Thom Browne.
QEST’s grant allowed Libby to develop her design and weaving skills in order to contribute to a seasonal portfolio of designs for the international fashion and interior industries. She designs fabrics for WGSN’s trend forecasts, as well as a seasonal ready-to-wear Womenswear collection woven at Stephen Walters & Sons. Libby enjoys combining interesting techniques and yarns to create innovative fabrics. She has a good eye for colour and a sophisticated approach to design.
