2009 QEST Scholar - Stone Carving & Conservation

Tom graduated from Weymouth College before gaining a postgraduate diploma in historic carving from City & Guilds of London Art School, with the support of a QEST Scholarship.  He has since gained experience on numerous exciting and prestigious carving, conservation and restoration projects across the UK and Europe.

A member of the Master Carvers Association and the Worshipful Company of Masons, Tom set up London Stone Carving, a collective of stone carvers, with fellow QEST Scholar Tom Nicholls.  They have worked on sites including Sir John Soane’s Pitzhanger Manor, Horace Walpole’s Strawberry Hill and St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
