Discover the Importance of Craft at Decorex

QEST Alumni are amongst the artisans selected to take part in Making Spaces at Decorex. This exciting feature connects makers directly with the luxury interior design community, and gives visitors insight into the skill and creativity involved in creating handcrafted pieces.
QEST Winch Design Scholars Angela Fung and Robert Walker, QEST Howdens Scholar Patrizia Sascor and QEST Scholar Justyna Medon will showcase and demonstrate the crafts of architectural origami, signwriting, basket weaving and wallpaper design respectively. Find them on the mezzanine level.
Elsewhere, QEST Leathersellers’ Company Scholar Otis Ingrams (Otzi London) and QEST Howdens Scholar Tom Vaughan (Object Studio) are amongst the high end brands and designers exhibiting. Both will be showcasing their furniture collections.
The leading interiors expo takes place at Olympia, London from Sunday 8 to Wednesday 11 October (10am to 6pm daily).

As part of Decorex Design Talks, QEST CEO Deborah Pocock will chair this panel discussion, exploring why individuals and interior designers should invest in handcrafted pieces, and how craft practices are evolving for the 21st century. Panellists include artisans from the Making Spaces feature – including Justyna Medon and Rob Walker – as well as Louisa Pacifico, founder and curator of Future Icons.
