Alan’s QEST Scholarship enabled him to train in the production of scagliola, a distinct artificial marble, with specialists Hayles & Howe Ornamental Plasterers. He is trained at the Leeds College of Building in Fibrous Plasterwork and is the recipient of a number of awards including a Gold Medal at the 33rd World Skills Olympics in France in 1995.
Alan runs his own business, Plasterwrx, and provides manufacture, installation and restoration services.
