Alice Pearson is a fine artist specialising in portrait painting and drawing. Working primarily from life, she uses traditional atelier techniques to achieve tonal accuracy, subtle colour harmony, and atmosphere, seeking to capture the individuality and inner presence of her sitters. Her practice reflects a deep commitment to figurative realism and the enduring traditions of classical oil painting.
Alice is currently completing the Advanced Painting Programme at the Florence Academy of Art in Tuscany, with QEST supporting her third year of study. The course focuses on developing technical mastery of oil painting, enabling her to build a refined artistic vocabulary that will inform future projects and collaborations.
Her goal is to fully understand the traditional methods of the old masters in order to apply them to contemporary subjects and ideas. Through this balance of heritage and innovation, Alice aims to preserve and evolve classical painting techniques for future generations. Through her studies she will complete a cohesive final body of work ready for exhibition, marking the beginning of her professional career as a painter.
